Privacy Policy
Voice Refocus (“we”, “our”) is a Chrome extension that reduces distracting background noise so speech is easier to follow. This policy explains what data is handled and why.
Data we process
When you press Start on this tab, Voice Refocus captures audio from that browser tab and processes it locally on your device. Audio is not uploaded to our servers.
Data we store
We store your Focus strength preference in Chrome’s extension storage on your device so your setting persists between sessions.
Data we do not collect
- No account is required
- No analytics SDKs are included in the extension
- We do not sell personal data
- We do not use tab audio for advertising
Permissions
Voice Refocus requests permissions only to provide the speech-clarity feature you enable:
- Tab audio capture — process the active tab’s sound
- Offscreen document — keep audio processing reliable
- Storage — remember Focus strength
- Active tab — start on the tab you’re viewing
Third parties
The product website may be hosted by a standard web host / CDN (for example Cloudflare). That host may process standard server logs (IP address, user agent) according to their own policies. The extension itself does not send your tab audio to those services.
Children
Voice Refocus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
